What a day. Today I ran my first ever marathon.

After six months of training and preparing for the race I am happy to say I completed the 26.2 miles in 3hrs 43 minutes. I set myself the goal of 3hrs 30 so just missed out of this time but I am really happy to have completed the course.

The run was a great experience and would recommend to anyone to enter and give it a go at some point in your life. It was fantastic, tough at times especially towards the end. We had temperatures of 24c, a London Marathon record (extra hot). This also meant that the crowds were huge and made for an even better experience.

I decided to raise money for the charity ‘children with cancer UK’ and run to support the charity. I am pleased to say that I raised over £4500 by running the marathon. Thank you for ALL your support. It means so much and children with Cancer UK are super grateful for you contributions.

I still have the goal to be able to run another marathon in my target time of 3hrs 30. Watch this space!!
